What to Expect from a PDR Repair

When paintless dent repair is performed correctly, the result is complete and invisible. The metal is returned to its exact original position โ€” not approximately, not close enough โ€” and the paint surface is never disturbed. You should not be able to tell the dent was ever there.

We use specialist LED lighting that reveals even the slightest surface irregularity. Every repair is inspected under this lighting before we consider it finished. If we can see it under the light, we keep working. Only when the panel is genuinely back to factory standard do we call it done.

The difference between a professional PDR repair and an amateur attempt is significant. Poorly performed PDR can leave high spots, low spots, or surface texture issues in the paint โ€” often worse than the original dent. Our technicians have years of experience and know when to keep working and when a dent genuinely can't be fixed to standard.

Our quality standards

LED light inspection
Every repair is inspected under specialist lighting that shows surface imperfections invisible in normal light.
We tell you if it's not suitable
Not every dent is a PDR job. If yours isn't, we'll say so before starting โ€” and won't charge you for an attempted repair.
Touch-up protection
Surrounding paint is protected throughout the repair process. We never risk adjacent surfaces.
Satisfaction guarantee
We don't finish a job until you're satisfied. If it's not right, we keep working or we don't charge.

Types of Repairs We Document

We photograph our repairs because results are the only thing that matters. Every job in our gallery represents a real customer vehicle in Adelaide โ€” the dent was real, the repair was real, and the result is exactly what you can expect for your own vehicle.

Common Dent Repairs We Photograph in Adelaide

Car Park Door Dings

The most common repair we document. Adelaide has no shortage of tight multi-storey car parks โ€” Centro Colonnades, Westfield Marion, Rundle Place, Burnside Village โ€” and door dings happen daily. Most are small round dents on the driver or passenger doors, caused by a neighbouring car door opening into your panel.

Before PDR, the dent is clear under raking light โ€” a shadow that reveals a change in the surface contour. After a professional PDR repair, that shadow is gone. The surface is completely flat and the paint finish is unchanged. The transformation in photos is dramatic even for small dents.

Hail Damage Repairs

Adelaide hail events leave distinctive damage patterns โ€” dozens of small round dents scattered across flat panels like the bonnet, roof, and boot lid. Under LED inspection lighting before the repair, these look like a dimpled golf ball surface. After PDR, the same surface is smooth and featureless.

Hail repair before-and-afters are some of the most striking in any PDR gallery because the starting point is so clearly wrong. The volume of dents looks overwhelming โ€” but PDR systematically works through each one, and the cumulative result is a panel that looks exactly as it did before the storm hit.

What Our Photos Show

Every before-and-after in our gallery is photographed from the same angle, with the same lighting, immediately before and after the repair. We don't use different lighting conditions, different angles, or post-processing to make the result look better than it is. What you see in the photos is what you get in real life.

We photograph every completed repair because we're proud of the results and because we believe prospective customers deserve to see real evidence before choosing a dent repair service. Asking "can you show me your work?" is a reasonable question โ€” and the answer should be yes, every time.

Why Results Vary

Not all dents produce equally dramatic before-and-after photos. A shallow 1cm door ding might look minor in a photo but the repair is still satisfying to the customer who has been staring at it for months. A severe bonnet crease photographs dramatically at both ends of the repair.

What stays consistent is the standard: every repair is complete, factory-finish quality. We don't add a photo to the gallery until we're satisfied that the result represents our work at its best.
